Rep. Evans has an F rating, which means she is severely anti-choice, and votes against measures that would protect women. If you’re in Rep. Evans’ district, be vocal about asking her to support pro-choice legislation!

Rep. Evans did, however, introduce a pro-choice bill, HB 1627, which would have established protections for pregnant offenders and offenders who are in postpartum recovery while in custody at a correctional center or county or city jail. Though this more robust version was not passed, a similar amendment ending shackling for pregnant offenders in their third trimester or in labor in Dept. of Corrections jails only was passed as an amendment to SB 870.
