UPDATE: Thank you for making our first ever virtual lobby day so successful! We encourage you to continue using the #MOPaidLeave hashtag to demand your legislators pass Paid Leave in MO NOW!
As the nation grapples with the global pandemic from COVID-19, one thing is clear: access to affordable and timely health care is critical to saving lives. But for many working Missourians, taking a day off of work to care for themselves or a sick kid may mean sacrificing a paycheck, groceries — or even their job.
The good news is: SB 565, legislation introduced by Senator Jill Schupp this year, would provide all Missourians with up to six weeks of paid medical leave at one-hundred percent of the employee’s salary.
Join us for Freedom is for Every Body Virtual Lobby Day to demand your elected officials in the statehouse act immediately to ensure #MOPaidLeave for all.
How does a virtual lobby day work?
Join us at 10 am on Wednesday, March 18 for a Virtual Lobby Day 2020 webinar. We’ll provide you with an update on all the legislation we’re tracking, including SB 565 and the four anti-abortion bills currently moving through both chambers. Then, with our help and step-by-step instructions, you’ll send a video message to your representative asking them to make #MOPaidLeave a reality for all.
Will you join us on Wednesday to take action from the comfort of your own home and demand #MOPaidLeave?
