Cocktails & Conversations From Your Couch: Increasing Access to Contraception
Thursday, April 16, 2020/5:00 pm - 6:00 pmYour couch

This installment of our brand-new Cocktails & Conversations From Your Couch series, we’re looking at proactive legislation! Rep. Tracy McCreery will be talking about her 2020 bill, HB 2624, which would require health benefit plans that provide coverage for prescription contraceptives to cover a supply of the contraceptives for up to 13 months. Rep. McCreery will explain what this will would do in action, where it came from and what we can do to make sure it passes—most likely in 2021.

Additionally, we’re joined by Mandy Hagseth, Director of Policy and Advocacy for Missouri Family Health Council. Mandy will be educating us on The Right Time initiative, which is a series of clinics offering low to no-cost birth control options.

Grab your favorite beverage and get ready to learn more about the fight to expand access to birth control for all!
