Trump’s #SCOTUS nominee Brett Kavanaugh is the greatest threat to Roe v. Wade of our lifetime — he would be the go-ahead vote on the U.S. Supreme Court to gut Roe, criminalizing abortion and punishing women for choosing if, when, and how to start a family. We can’t let it come to that.
Join us for a postcard party and happy hour on August 22nd, so we can tell our senators we need them to vote no on Kavanaugh.
This event will be handicap accessible.
Activists and concerned citizens are standing up around the country on August 26th to tell our senators: Kavanaugh is WRONG for the U.S. Supreme Court. Join us for a rally at the Arch Grounds (Luther Ely Smith Square) to send the message to Sen. Blunt and Sen. McCaskill that we need them to vote NO on Kavanaugh. https://uniteforjustice2018.com/
Brett Kavanaugh is the greatest threat to Roe we’ve faced in decades — he would be the go-ahead vote on SCOTUS to overturn and gut Roe v. Wade, criminalizing abortion and punishing women for choosing how to start a family. Kavanaugh’s previous record as a judge proves just that.
We need to stand up before he gets the chance to do serious damage in his lifetime appointment to SCOTUS.
The annual NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri Gala and Auction will be held on September 22, 2018 at the Hilton St. Louis in Frontenac. We’re excited to announce that Ilyse G. Hogue, President of NARAL Pro-Choice America will be the featured speaker at this year’s event!
Join us for the Gala + Auction, and you’ll be able to meet and mingle with your fellow pro-choice supporters from across the state, including the candidates and politicians who have pledged to prioritize reproductive health. As usual, there will be cocktails, a dinner program and a silent auction.
Featured Speaker: Ilyse G. Hogue, President of NARAL Pro-Choice America
Ilyse Hogue is an expert in organizing and mobilizing grassroots support around social-justice issues, including human rights, media reform and representation, and reproductive freedom. She has been president of NARAL Pro-Choice America since 2013 and previously has worked at advocacy organizations including MoveOn.org, Friends of Democracy, and Media Matters.
During her tenure at NARAL, Ilyse has pushed the national conversation around abortion access to be one of fundamental human rights and self-determination for women. She has run successful campaigns demanding presidential debate moderators #AskAboutAbortion and supporting winning candidates for U.S. Senate in Nevada, New Hampshire, Maryland, and California who made reproductive freedom central to their campaigns in 2016.
At the Democratic National Convention in 2016, Ilyse made history by sharing her own abortion story on the national stage, explaining that “it’s not as simple as bad girls get abortions and good girls have families. We are the same women at different times in our lives – each making decisions that are the best for us.”
Ilyse regularly contributes commentary to news outlets such as the New York Times, CNN.com, the Nation, Cosmopolitan, and ELLE Magazine. She was featured as one of ELLE Magazine’s “10 Most Powerful Women in D.C.” and was named on Washington Life’s Power 100 list. Ilyse serves on the board of Bend the Arc: A Jewish Partnership for Justice and on the editorial board for the Nation magazine, the country’s oldest progressive news publication.
