Alex Cook is an organizer with experience in labor organizing and building campaigns for racial, economic, and gender justice. Originally from the Boston area, Alex moved to Saint Louis after graduating from Earlham College where he majored in Peace and Global Studies. He moved to Saint Louis to work for the Service Employees International Union where he organized for several years on campaigns, including adjunct faculty and graduate employee unionization, organizing janitors at Saint Louis Lambert airport, and the $15/hr and Free Child Care campaign at WashU. Alex hopes to draw from his experience building strength in numbers with the labor movement to help build a transformative statewide movement for reproductive freedom across Missouri. In his spare time, Alex enjoys going to coffee shops, riding his bike and spending time with his beloved cat, Junebug.
