Leading reproductive rights advocacy group urges St. Louis voters to vote yes on proposition investing in early childhood education

ST. LOUIS, MO—Today, NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri announces its endorsement of Proposition R in St. Louis Missouri. The measure, placed on the November 3 ballot by the St. Louis Board of Alderman, would make an estimated $2.3 million annual investment in early childhood education for children ages five and below.

“Investing in early learning programs from birth to age five is key to creating a solid foundation of lifelong learning and wellbeing in children,” said Mallory Schwarz, NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri Executive Director. “The research speaks for itself: affordable, high quality childhood education has the power to not only narrow racial disparities in health, education, and systems that support parents’ ability to raise healthy children, but build a stronger St. Louis.”

“NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri is dedicated to the fight for reproductive freedom—one that extends beyond reproductive rights and to building safe and equitable community where a family’s health and wellbeing are not determined by zip code, income, or race. We are honored to endorse Proposition R, an investment in the future of St. Louis and the first step in creating an equitable community for everybody.”

Proposition R will be on the ballot on November 3, 2020 in St. Louis. To find more information, please visit: https://yesonproprstlcity.com
