ST. LOUIS, MO — Following the announcement that Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri will continue offering family planning and abortion care at a new health center in Fairview Heights, Ill, Executive Director of NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri Mallory Schwarz issued the following statement:
“NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri congratulates our partners at Planned Parenthood as they expand access to critical care in our region, including both preventive and abortion care.”
“We remain grateful for both Reproductive Health Services of Planned Parenthood of the St. Louis Region and Southwest Missouri and the independent abortion providers in our community who continue to create spaces where all people can make personal decisions about their bodies, lives, and futures, free from judgement.”
“NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri welcomes additional health partners to the region although this unmet need is but a symptom of the greater public health crisis. Due to the coordinated and egregious attacks on access to reproductive health care by state legislators and the state government, access to essential reproductive health care for millions of Missourians continues to hang by a thread.”
NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri is the leading grassroots pro-choice advocacy organization in Missouri, and we believe that every woman should be able to make personal decisions about the full range of reproductive health options. NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri works to protect every woman’s right to access the full range of reproductive health options, including preventing unintended pregnancy, bearing healthy children, and choosing legal abortion. NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri is the state affiliate of NARAL Pro-Choice America.
