ST. LOUIS, MO — Today, NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri PAC announced its endorsement of Trish Gunby for state representative in the 99th District.
“Anti-choice legislators in Missouri are working around the clock to not only undermine the right to access the full range of reproductive healthcare, including legal abortion, but dismantle our most fundamental freedoms,” said NARAL Pro-Choice Missouri PAC Board Chair Christine Shore-Fitzgerald. “We look forward to working closely with Trish Gunby to ensure every Missourians’ voice is lifted and protect every person’s right to make decisions about their own body, family, and future.”
“After the passage of House Bill 126 — Missouri’s dangerous eight-week abortion ban — I was shocked, worried and above all, angry. Angry that the voices of the women most marginalized by such a decision were being drowned out,” said Trish Gunby. “I refuse to stand idly by as our legislators attempt to make personal healthcare decisions for us. And I’ll fight for choice until it’s secured.”
Prior to running for office, Gunby actively served in local leadership positions, including the St. Louis Area Voter Protection Coalition and Women’s Voices Raised for Social Justice.
